Why Chris Reeve Knives Set the Production Standard

Chris Reeve started the company in that Durban garage in 1984 and has been manufacturing in Boise, Idaho, since 1989. He is credited with the Reeve Integral Lock, the titanium frame lock that became the default strong-folder mechanism across the industry, and CRK worked with Crucible on the CPM S30V and S35VN steels that built its edge reputation. The current Sebenza 31 ships in CPM MagnaCut, with S45VN offered depending on availability, holding tolerances most custom makers never reach at production volume. The standard did not slip when Chris retired in 2014. Under Tim Reeve and the CRK team, the brand remains a repeat recipient of the Blade Show Manufacturing Quality Award. "Think Twice, Cut Once" is not a tagline here. It is how the knives are built.
