Procut Fixed Blade with Canvas Micarta Handle

The Candler Customs GL Layman is a compact fixed blade designed for everyday carry and utility tasks. This knife combines a simple drop point blade with a comfortable micarta handle for a balanced tool that works as well in the workshop as it does in the field.

Blade

The 3" drop point blade uses Procut steel at 0.131" thick. Procut is a high-carbon steel known for its excellent edge retention and ease of sharpening, making it a practical choice for utility knives. The drop point profile keeps the tip strong for prying while maintaining a useful belly for slicing.

Handle

The handle features OD Green Canvas Micarta scales with orange liners and natural pins. Canvas Micarta is a linen-based resin material that provides a textured, non-slip grip. The liners add a pop of color while maintaining the knife's rugged aesthetic. At 4.13oz, the GL Layman is lightweight enough for EDC but still substantial enough for hard use.

Carry

No lock mechanism - this is a fixed blade with a full tang, so the blade and handle are one continuous piece of steel. The sheath holds the knife securely with positive snap retention.
