Nitro-V Linerlock with Polished Clear Lexan Handles

Of the two knives in this Elementum release, the C18062AM-1 is the one that hides nothing. Colorless Lexan scales expose the entire build, including the labyrinth CIVIVI machined into the handle and the ceramic ball rolling loose inside it. The theme is Bronze Age mythology, and the execution is a working window into a knife that usually keeps its guts covered.

Maze

Look at the presentation side and you are looking straight through the scale at a CNC cut labyrinth with a captive ceramic ball riding the channel. Tip the knife one way, then the other, and it tracks the pattern. Clear Lexan makes this far easier to read than any tinted scale would, and CIVIVI includes a second ceramic ball in the box.

Blade

A 2.96" drop point in hollow ground Nitro-V, hardened to 59 to 61 HRC. Nitrogen in the alloy buys real corrosion resistance without pushing carbide size up, so the edge takes a fine polish and responds quickly to a strop when it starts dragging. Across the flats CIVIVI added a rock grind pattern, a machined dimpling meant to echo hammered bronze. Purely visual, no effect on the grind or the cut.

Handle

Polished clear Lexan over gray stainless liners. Lexan is a polycarbonate best known for impact strength and optical clarity, which is exactly why it works here. The finish is smooth and slightly warmer to the touch than G-10 or Micarta, and the whole knife weighs 2.98oz.

Lock

Stainless linerlock, flipper tab, caged ceramic ball bearing pivot. Detent tension is set light enough to flick without effort and firm enough that the blade stays put in the pocket.

Carry

Right hand tip-up clip with a lanyard hole at the butt. If you would rather have amber tint than glass clarity, the C18062AM-2 in polished yellow Ultem is the same knife in a louder shell.
