Dan Tope Knives are handcrafted in Rapid River, Michigan, deep in the Upper Peninsula's knifemaking country and practically neighbors to our own Wisconsin home. Tope hand-grinds and hand-finishes every blade for sporting and tactical use, building working fixed blades whose convex edges, harpoon swedges, and wildly colorful handle work have earned one of the most loyal drop-day followings in the business: when a Tope batch lands, it rarely survives the weekend.
The Hellkat and Hellkat Utility
The Hellkat made Tope's name, a fighter-profiled workhorse in CPM 3V, and the compact Hellkat Utility carries the design into everyday size, with current runs stepping up to CPM 4V, both steels near the top of the toughness charts in our knife steel guide. Handles are half the fun: G-10, canvas micarta, maple burl, and resin scales in combinations from dune and blue glow to burgundy with white liners, each build pinned and linered like a custom because it is one.
The Bulldog, Hacksaw Jim, Lucky 7, and Kukri
The Bulldog packs the formula into a stout compact frame, the Hacksaw Jim and Lucky 7 bring their own personalities to the bench, and the Kukri scales Tope's grinding up to chopper duty. Sheaths, lanyards, and the small stuff live in Dan Tope accessories.
