on Orders Over $99The Darlington Edgecraft Candyman is a hand-forged fixed blade designed for outdoor enthusiasts and collectors who appreciate traditional craftsmanship. The convex grind and A2 steel make it versatile for camp chores, bushcraft, or as a reliable companion on hunting trips.
Blade
The 4" hand-forged blade uses A2 tool steel, a high-carbon American steel known for toughness and ease of sharpening. A2 is a favorite among knife makers for hard-use blades because it holds up to repeated abuse without chipping. The convex grind reduces drag when slicing through material, making it efficient for food prep or cutting cordage.
Handle
The handle combines black paper micarta, jade G-10, and black micarta liners with a black and gold resin bolster. Paper micarta is made from layers of paper soaked in resin and compressed under heat and pressure. It offers a slightly textured grip that improves when wet and develops a beautiful patina with use. The jade G-10 adds a striking visual contrast while maintaining durability. G-10 is a fiberglass laminate that won't absorb water or become slippery. At 5.57oz it has enough weight for chopping tasks but remains balanced for fine work.
Carry
Ships with a leather sheath that provides classic protection and a timeless look. No lock mechanism - this is a fixed blade with a full tang, so the blade and handle are one continuous piece of steel. The sheath holds the knife securely with positive snap retention.
