The Freyja from Darlington Edgecraft is a handmade fixed blade built for everyday carry and detailed field work. Each knife is finished with a tapered blade and convex grind, a combination that takes real skill to execute and gives the edge a smooth, gliding cut.
Blade
The 3.75" drop point blade is made from Nitro-V steel with a hammered finish and measures .093" thick. Nitro-V is a modern stainless steel that resists corrosion exceptionally well while holding a fine edge, making it a strong choice for a knife that will see kitchen duty, outdoor use, or daily carry. The convex grind adds strength behind the edge while still slicing cleanly.
Handle
The handle is crafted from Bocote, a dense hardwood prized for its rich grain pattern and natural durability. Orange G-10 pinstripes and natural Micarta liners run between the wood and the tang, adding color contrast and reinforcing the construction. G-10 is a fiberglass laminate and Micarta is a resin-impregnated canvas material, both chosen here for strength and stability against the wood scales. At just over 4oz, the knife carries light for its size.
Carry
The Freyja ships with a leather sheath sized for belt carry. As a fixed blade the tang and handle form one solid piece, giving consistent strength for repeated use straight from the sheath.
