The Freyja from Darlington Edgecraft is a handmade fixed blade built for collectors and users who appreciate small-batch craftsmanship. This piece pairs a tapered A2 blade with a convex grind, finished with Tiffany G-10 pinstripes and black Micarta liners for detail work beyond the standard build.
Blade
The 3.75" drop point blade is forged from A2 tool steel with a hammered finish and a tapered convex grind. A2 is prized among custom makers for its toughness and stability during heat treat, holding a durable edge while resisting chipping better than many high-carbon alternatives. The convex grind adds strength behind the edge and improves slicing performance through a wide range of materials.
Handle
The handle is crafted from Bocote, a dense hardwood with striking natural grain patterns that varies from knife to knife. Black Micarta liners sit beneath the wood scales, with Tiffany G-10 pinstripes added as an accent layer between materials. At 4.62oz, the knife carries a substantial, balanced feel in hand.
Carry
The Freyja ships with a leather sheath sized for belt carry. As a fixed blade the tang and handle form a single solid unit, with the leather sheath providing secure retention and quick access.
Made in the USA.
