The Freyja from Darlington Edgecraft is a handmade fixed blade for collectors and users who appreciate custom-grade fit and finish. This piece pairs a tapered A2 blade with a convex grind, showing the kind of detail work that separates production knives from maker-built pieces.
Blade
The 3.75" drop point blade is forged from A2 tool steel at .125" thick with a tapered profile and hammered finish. A2 is prized by custom makers for its toughness and edge stability - it resists chipping under hard use and holds an edge well, making it a favorite for outdoor and utility knives. The convex grind adds strength behind the edge while still allowing efficient slicing.
Handle
The handle is crafted from Yellow Heart, a dense hardwood known for its bright, warm color and durability. Orange and black G-10 pinstripes run through the construction with cream G-10 liners, adding contrast and reinforcing the handle against moisture and wear. Total weight comes in at 4.62oz, keeping the knife light and easy to carry.
Carry
This fixed blade ships with a leather sheath, offering a traditional snug fit and belt carry. As a fixed blade the tapered tang and handle work as a single, solid unit.
Made in the USA.
