A2 Fixed Blade with Baltic Birch Handles

The Valkyrie is a compact hard-use fixed blade from Darlington Edgecraft, designed for bushcraft, camping, and survival tasks. The convex blade grind excels at slicing and carving, while the lightweight Baltic birch handle keeps overall weight down for extended carry. A2 steel offers a balance of toughness and edge retention for demanding outdoor use.

Blade

The 3" hand-forged blade uses A2 tool steel at 0.094" thick. A2 provides excellent toughness and wear resistance, making it ideal for batoning, prying, and other hard-use tasks. It won't hold an edge as long as premium stainless steels but is much easier to sharpen in the field. The convex grind creates a high-performing slicing edge for food prep and shelter building.

Handle

Baltic birch liners with orange and red G-10 pins create a striking yet functional grip. G-10 provides moisture resistance and durability, while the birch adds warmth and comfort. The 4" handle length offers good control for precision tasks while maintaining compactness for carry. At 3.46oz it's light enough for all-day use.

Sheath

Includes a leather sheath with belt loop. Leather offers traditional aesthetics and good protection, though it requires maintenance to prevent drying and cracking. The sheath holds the knife securely with positive retention.
