Edge Knife Works builds this 4.5" utility knife by hand, pairing a modern powder steel with traditional forging techniques. It's a versatile size for kitchen prep, camp cooking, or general cutting tasks around the shop or trail.

Blade

The 4.5" blade is hand forged from MagnaCut steel at 0.108" thick. MagnaCut was developed specifically for knife use and offers a rare combination of high edge retention, strong corrosion resistance, and toughness that outperforms most traditional stainless steels. The forging process gives each blade slight character in its finish while the steel itself holds a working edge through repeated use.

Handle

The handle is black canvas Micarta, a resin-impregnated fabric material built up in layers and cured under pressure. It's durable, grippy even when wet, and develops a smooth patina with handling over time. At just under 4oz total weight, this knife carries light for its size.

Carry

This is a fixed blade with no lock to manage - the tang runs the full length of the handle for a solid, one-piece feel in hand. Its 4.5" blade and compact 8.5" overall length make it easy to store in a kitchen block, tool roll, or pack.
