And off he went. The "Sheepdog Knife"a design that Emerson came back with is a medium size folder with some important features that are entirely new to Emerson Knives. It is the first Emerson design to feature a bearing system in the pivot rather than a washer system and the first Emerson knife to feature a "flipper."In these regards it's like no other Emerson design ever. Ernie Emerson made the knife available in both a bowie style blade and a brutish spearpoint design. Knowing that this knife is specifically designed for both police and military use, these two blade styles make the most sense for a utility/defensive knife.
