The AG7 Astronaut Pen is the one that started it all. First selected by NASA in 1967 for the Apollo 7 mission, it's the same pen that went to the moon in 1969. The design has remained virtually unchanged for over 50 years, and the pen you buy today is nearly identical to the original. Made in the USA from solid brass, the AG7 features a two-button click mechanism; press the top to extend the point and the side button to retract it. Every Astronaut Pen uses Fisher's pressurized cartridge, so it writes reliably in any orientation, in extreme temperatures, underwater, and in zero gravity. Beyond NASA's Apollo and Space Shuttle programs, the AG7 has been used aboard the International Space Station, Russian Soyuz and MIR missions, and the French ARIANE Space Program. Available in chrome, black titanium nitride, Cerakote, and special edition finishes.
