on Orders Over $99The AG7 Astronaut Pen is where it all started. First selected by NASA in 1967 for the Apollo 7 mission, this is the pen that went to the moon in 1969. The design has remained virtually unchanged for over 50 years, and the pen you buy today is nearly identical to the original. Made in the USA from solid brass with hard chrome plating, it has a satisfying weight and feel in hand. It features a unique two-button click mechanism: press the top button to extend the point and the side button to retract it. The side button has a solid, deliberate feel to it, so you'll always know the point is safely retracted before sliding it back into your pocket. Beyond NASA's Apollo and Space Shuttle programs, the AG7 has been used aboard the International Space Station, Russian Soyuz and MIR missions, the French ARIANE Space Program, and the Everest North Face Ski Expedition. Ships with a medium point black ink pressurized refill.
