The Hellbender Mudpup 5 Gen 2 is a rugged outdoor fixed blade built for hunters and bushcraft users who want premium steel in a hard-working package. Hellbender Blade designs these knives for field dressing, camp chores, and general cutting tasks where reliability matters.

Blade

The 4.625" drop point blade is made from MagnaCut steel with a tumbled finish, measuring 0.156" thick. MagnaCut is a modern powder metallurgy steel that delivers excellent edge retention, strong corrosion resistance, and good toughness, making it well suited for knives that see hard use in wet or messy conditions. The drop point shape offers a controlled tip and generous belly for skinning and slicing.

Handle

The handle is fitted with G-10 scales, a fiberglass laminate material known for its durability and secure grip even when wet or covered in blood or mud. At 8.2oz and with a 5" handle length, the knife balances well for extended use in the field.

Carry

The Mudpup 5 ships with a leather sheath, offering a traditional look and a snug, protective fit for belt carry. As a fixed blade, there is no lock mechanism to manage - the tang runs the full length of the handle for one-piece strength and reliability.
