Blade

The 4.625" drop point blade is made from MagnaCut steel at 0.156" thick, finished with a tumbled surface. MagnaCut is a modern powder steel designed specifically for edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness in balance, making it well suited to field use where the blade sees moisture and hard contact. The drop point shape offers a strong tip and full belly for general cutting tasks.

Handle

The handle uses black, OD and FDE G-10, a fiberglass laminate scale material known for its light weight and grip in wet or gloved hands. Handle length runs 5", and the knife weighs 8.2oz overall, giving it a balanced, substantial feel without being heavy.

Carry

The Mudpup 5 ships with a Kydex sheath, a rigid molded polymer that offers secure retention and quick blade access. As a fixed blade, there is no lock mechanism - the full construction is a single, solid piece of steel from tip to handle. The sheath supports belt or accessory-based carry setups.
