The Mudpup 5 Gen 2 from Hellbender Blade is a full-size outdoor fixed blade built for hard use, whether in the field or as a dependable everyday utility knife. Its size and drop point geometry make it well suited to hunters, campers, and anyone who wants a rugged, no-frills working knife.

Blade

The 4.625" drop point blade is made from MagnaCut steel with a tumbled finish. MagnaCut is a modern powder metallurgy steel that delivers excellent edge retention, strong corrosion resistance, and a level of toughness that outperforms most premium steels on the market. The drop point profile provides a controllable tip and generous belly, useful for slicing, skinning, and general camp tasks. Blade stock measures .156" thick for added durability.

Handle

The handle is built with black, OD and FDE G-10, a fiberglass laminate that stays grippy in wet or dry conditions and resists cracking or warping over time. At 8.2oz, the knife has enough heft for demanding tasks without feeling cumbersome.

Carry

As a fixed blade, the Mudpup has no lock mechanism - the tang and blade are one solid piece of steel for maximum strength. It ships with a leather sheath, offering a traditional look along with secure retention and belt carry.
