Blade

The 4.625" drop point blade is made from MagnaCut steel with an orange Cerakote finish. MagnaCut is a modern powder-metallurgy steel prized for its excellent edge retention, strong corrosion resistance, and toughness - a combination that makes it well suited to knives that see real field work. The Cerakote coating adds an extra layer of protection against rust and wear while giving the blade a distinct look. At 0.156" thick, the blade has plenty of stock to handle chopping and prying tasks.

Handle

The handle uses camo tri-color G-10, a fiberglass laminate constructed from layered resin-soaked fiberglass cloth pressed under heat and pressure. G-10 is lightweight, impervious to moisture, and holds up well to rough handling. Total weight comes in at 8.2oz, giving the knife enough heft to feel substantial without being cumbersome.

Carry

The Mudpup 5 ships with a molded Kydex sheath that offers secure retention and quick blade access. Kydex is a rigid thermoplastic that resists moisture and wear better than leather, and it can be configured for a variety of belt or drop-leg carry setups. As a fixed blade, there is no lock mechanism - the tang and handle are one solid piece.
