The Mudpup 5 Gen 2 from Hellbender Blade is a robust fixed blade suited to hard outdoor use, from camp chores to processing game. Its size splits the difference between a compact bushcraft knife and a full-size survival blade.

Blade

The 4.625" drop point blade is made from MagnaCut steel at .156" thick, finished with a tumbled satin appearance. MagnaCut was engineered for the modern knife world, balancing high edge retention with strong corrosion resistance and toughness that carbon steels can't match. The drop point profile keeps the tip strong for detail work while offering a wide belly for slicing.

Handle

The handle uses Camo Tri G-10, a fiberglass laminate constructed in resin-soaked layers for a lightweight, grippy, and moisture-resistant handle scale material. At 8.2oz and 5" long, it provides a secure hold for extended use without excess bulk.

Carry

The Mudpup 5 ships with a Kydex sheath, a rigid thermoplastic that holds the blade securely with friction retention while resisting moisture and wear. The sheath is set up for belt carry and can typically be configured with additional mounting hardware for different carry positions.
