MagnaCut Fixed Blade with Micarta Handles

The Hellbender Mudpup 6 is a full-size outdoor fixed blade built for hunting, camp chores, and general bushcraft work. Its size and weight put it between a compact bushcraft knife and a heavier chopper, making it a versatile choice for hard field use.

Blade

The 5.5" drop point blade is made from MagnaCut steel with a tumbled finish. MagnaCut is a modern powder metallurgy steel that offers a rare combination of high edge retention, strong corrosion resistance, and excellent toughness, making it well-suited to a knife that will see both wet conditions and hard use. At .1875" thick, the blade has plenty of stock to handle batoning and prying without flexing.

Handle

The OD green Micarta handle is made from linen or canvas fabric layered with resin under pressure, resulting in a tough, stable material that holds up well to moisture and rough handling. At 5.25" long, it provides a full, secure grip, and the knife comes in at 9.5oz overall.

Carry

The Mudpup 6 ships with a leather sheath for belt carry. As a fixed blade, there is no lock mechanism to worry about - the full-length construction and sheath retention keep the knife secure and ready to draw.
