The Hellbender Newt is a compact fixed blade built for everyday carry, well suited to detail work, opening mail, or serving as a backup blade. Its small footprint makes it easy to carry at 1.9oz.

Blade

The 2" sheepsfoot blade is made from MagnaCut steel with a satin finish. MagnaCut is a modern powder steel developed specifically for knife use, offering excellent edge retention, strong corrosion resistance, and good toughness compared to older stainless options. The sheepsfoot grind gives a straight edge and a controlled, blunt tip, ideal for precise cutting tasks.

Handle

The handle is finished in jade G-10, a fiberglass laminate known for being lightweight, durable, and grippy even when wet. The 4" handle offers enough room for a full grip despite the knife's small overall size.

Carry

The Newt ships with a form-fitted Kydex sheath for secure retention and quick, quiet draws. Kydex is a rigid thermoplastic that resists moisture and holds its shape over time. The sheath can be configured for neck carry, belt carry, or tucked into a pocket, giving multiple carry options for this small fixed blade.
