The Hellbender Newt is a compact fixed blade built for small, precise cutting tasks. Its diminutive size makes it a natural fit for neck carry, backup use, or anyone who wants a capable little utility blade without the bulk of a full-size knife.

Blade

The 2" sheepsfoot blade is made from MagnaCut steel with a satin finish at .097" thick. MagnaCut is a modern powder steel that delivers excellent edge retention, strong corrosion resistance, and good toughness, making it a reliable choice even at this thin, hard-working profile. The sheepsfoot grind has a straight edge and a spine that curves down to meet it, giving the tip added control for detail work.

Handle

Toxic Yellow G-10 scales cover the handle, which measures 4" long. G-10 is a fiberglass laminate that stays grippy when wet and resists cracking or fading over time. At just 1.9oz, the Newt disappears in a pocket or around the neck.

Carry

The Newt ships with a form-fitted Kydex sheath that offers secure retention and a low-profile carry option, whether worn on a neck cord, clipped to a belt, or tucked into a pocket. As a fixed blade, there's no lock to worry about - the tang runs straight through the handle for a solid, one-piece feel.
