The Koschei is Heretic Knives' first crossbar lock design, a manual folder built for ambidextrous, high-strength everyday carry. Its modular platform allows for interchangeable handle scales and reversible carry configurations, making it a versatile choice for users who want a tough, adaptable folder without automatic deployment.

Blade

The 3.60" blade is made from MagnaCut steel with a stonewash finish. MagnaCut is a modern powder steel engineered for an excellent balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance, making it well suited to hard daily use. At 0.156" thick, the plain edge blade offers a strong, versatile profile for everyday cutting tasks.

Handle

The handle is machined aluminum, a lightweight and rigid material that keeps the knife durable without adding bulk. At just 3.5oz overall, the Koschei carries light for its size, with a handle length of 4.64" and thickness of 0.482" for a secure grip.

Carry

The Koschei uses Heretic's crossbar lock, a mechanism that engages a bar across the blade tang for strong lockup while allowing smooth, ambidextrous operation from either side of the handle. The reversible pocket clip supports right or left-hand tip-up carry, adapting easily to different carry preferences.
