The Heretic Medusa is Heretic's evolution of the original Heretic Martyr, a compact, thick stock everyday carry built in both manual and automatic versions. Designed by Anthony Marfione Jr. around an ergonomic handle that works in standard or reverse grip, it is one of the most versatile knives from Heretic Knives.
Medusa Manual Frame Lock Flipper
The Medusa Manual opens by flipper tab or the thumb cutout in the blade, riding on race bearings for a fast, smooth action. An integral frame lock with a steel insert and Heretic's lockbar stabilizer keeps the blade rock solid in use, even under the hard cutting work this thick blade invites. It is a hard working option among our folding knives for anyone who wants a stout manual folder.
Medusa Auto Push Button
The Medusa Auto is a side opening push button automatic with a button lock. Its sweeping handle curve helps manage the force of deployment, while jimping and textured inlays keep a positive hold, and it sits alongside the rest of our automatic knives.
Medusa Specs and MagnaCut Blades
Every Medusa runs a 3 inch CPM MagnaCut blade on thick 0.16 inch stock, 7.5 inches open with a 4.5 inch handle. Choose a tanto or a recurve in DLC, stonewash, battleworn, bronze, or Cerakote finishes. MagnaCut pairs high toughness with outstanding corrosion resistance, and our comparison of every major knife steel shows why it suits a thick, hard use blade.
Medusa Handles and Cel Shading
Handles come in anodized aluminum in black, purple, and natural, plus carbon fiber, blood red carbon fiber, and red or blue G-10, all with a sculpted ball bearing pocket clip for tip up carry. Collector builds include Magma UV finishes and hand painted cel shading in Miami Vice, red, and yellow limited editions. Every Medusa is made in the USA.
