The Heretic Thoth is a modular titanium bolt action pen, named for the Egyptian god of writing and wisdom. Machined with the same precision Heretic Knives brings to its OTFs, it converts between a full size writer and a compact carry pen in seconds, and it makes a natural companion to a Heretic knife.
The Thoth's three part body lets you remove the center barrel and cartridge adapter, reassemble, and go from about 5 inches to roughly 3.4 inches with no tools. Run it full length at the desk for a comfortable writing grip, then shorten it for a jacket pocket or bag when space matters. The bolt action works smoothly in either configuration.
A smooth bolt action extends and retracts the refill with a positive feel that works with gloves, and many owners find it satisfying to cycle. The conical tip gives the Thoth a defensive edge as a tactical pen, and a milled clip with a tension roller ball keeps it secure without chewing up pocket seams.
The Thoth measures about 5.06 inches long, 0.65 inch wide, and 0.49 inch in body diameter, at about 1.35 ounces in titanium and aluminum. It takes a Lamy M22 size refill, an easy replacement to find. For more writing tools from top makers, browse our full range of EDC pens.
Choose the Thoth with titanium cap and tail on a black aluminum barrel and a blue titanium bolt, or a collector finish with Heretic's hand painted cel shading in toxic green or Miami Vice, made to match the cel shaded Heretic Medusa and other knives. Every Thoth is made in the USA.
