The Hinderer XM-18 Slipjoint shares the size and shape of the 3 inch XM-18, but with dual titanium liners instead of a frame lock, its scales are its own. This page collects the scale sets made for the Slippy along with the clips and filler tabs that let you change how it carries and how it looks.
XM-18 Slipjoint Scale Sets
Because the Slipjoint wears scales on both sides, replacements come as matched sets cut for its frame. Textured G-10 sets come in translucent green, blue and black, OD green and black, purple, and pink, and a smooth carbon fiber set gives it a dressier look. A scale swap is the fastest way to turn the Slippy from a work knife into a gentleman's carry.
Clip and Filler Tab Sets
The Slipjoint ships with its clip set for tip down carry and moves to tip up, or you can pull the clip and fill the slot for a smooth, clipless back that rides like a classic pocket knife. Clip and filler tab sets come in working finish, battle bronze, and battle blue so you can match or contrast the rest of your build.
Engraved Filler Tabs and No Slot Clips
For a personal touch, choose filler tabs in stonewashed black DLC with gold nuke or paw engraving, or 2019 pattern titanium tabs in blue, bronze, and stonewash. No slot clips swap the standard slotted design for engraved patterns like the .223 flag, star and bar, nuke, and dog pile in anodized and flamed finishes.
