Hinderer XM-18 Slipjoint Hardware
The XM-18 Slipjoint shares the size and shape of the 3 inch XM-18, but its hardware is its own, and this is where you will find the parts made specifically for the Slippy. Because the knife has no framelock, the customization here centers on the pieces that make it a slipjoint rather than a locking folder.
Thumb Disc, Clips, and Filler Tabs
With no lockbar to carry his trademark stabilizer, Rick moved that part onto the blade and turned it into the adjustable thumb disc that slides along the milled track, so the disc itself is part of how you tune the knife to your hand. The standard spoon style pocket clip positions for tip up or tip down carry, and when you reposition or remove it, a matching filler tab closes the void in the scale for a smooth back. Clips and filler tabs are offered in finishes to match or contrast the rest of your build.
Scales and Screws for the Slippy
Beyond the mechanism, the Slippy takes scale screws, standoffs, and G-10 scales cut for its frame, so you can rework the look the same way you would any XM.
