Hitch & Timber began with Michael Locke organizing his own tools as a film dolly grip on sets like House of Cards, cutting leather pocket organizers because nothing on the market carried what the job required. Crew members wanted their own, and by 2020 Locke and his wife Kalynn had taken the operation full time, now working from Colorado Springs. Every leather piece is still cut, stitched, and burnished in-house from American tannery hides, including Horween leather, and the full grain material only improves as it breaks in.
The Runt 2.0 is the flagship pocket organizer, a compact leather caddy that corrals a folder, a pocket pen, and a light into one clean draw, with the Runt 2.0 XL scaling up for larger tools. The Pocket Runt takes the slip approach, wrapping a single knife in protective leather so an unclipped folder rides safely, which makes it a natural companion for the slipjoints and Alox patterns in our traditional knives department, where clipless carry is the whole point. The Farmer Carrier rounds out the line as a fuller organizer for knife, tool, and daily essentials.
