Introducing the newest addition to the HK lineup, the Ballista XL. This American-made folder features ChromaCut, an all-new layered G-10 material composition from Hogue Knives that not only reveals unique color patterns when machined, but also offers additional grip across the frame of the knife. This model displays a black, Peel Ply textured exterior and a red interior to encompass the distinctive brand identity of Heckler and Koch.
The HK Ballista XL is the first automatic ABLE Lock mechanism to hit the Hogue catalog. Like the manual mechanism, the automatic version offers ambidextrous operation; however, the blade rapidly deploys out of the side of the knife when the lock bar is engaged. A safety switch is utilized on the spine of the ChromaCut G-10 frame to prohibit unintentional blade deployment when not in use. The blade is comprised of S30V stainless steel with a black cerakote finish.
