The Hogue Fray is a compact fixed blade built for hard use, pairing a tanto blade shape with a paracord-wrapped handle for a secure, no-slip grip. It suits users who want a tough, grab-and-go blade for outdoor or utility tasks.

Blade

The 4.2" tanto blade is made from 154CM steel, finished in black Cerakote. 154CM is a stainless steel known for strong edge retention and good corrosion resistance, making it reliable in demanding environments. The tanto shape adds extra strength at the tip for piercing and hard contact, and the partially serrated edge adds cutting versatility on tough materials like rope or webbing.

Handle

The handle is wrapped in paracord, a tightly woven nylon cord that improves grip in wet or gloved conditions while keeping the knife lightweight at 5.4oz. In a pinch, the cord itself can be unwound and used as cordage.

Carry

The Fray ships with an automatic retention sheath that locks the blade in place until drawn, keeping it secure during movement. As a fixed blade, there is no lock mechanism on the knife itself - the tang runs the full length of the handle for added strength.
