Hogue Mysto
The Hogue Mysto is a 3.4-inch ABLE Lock manual folder built on the original Allen Elishewitz design language, with newer Element Series and Hogue Hunting variants designed by Scott Bruhns. Made in USA in CPM MagnaCut steel across the entire lineup, the platform spans Richlite, titanium, and carbon fiber configurations to cover EDC, hunting, and collector use cases on a single chassis.
3.4-Inch CPM MagnaCut Blade in Clip Point and Upswept Tanto
Every Mysto runs CPM MagnaCut at 62 to 64 HRC for the balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance that has made it the dominant premium EDC steel. Blade profiles include a clip point with false edge for package and envelope work and an upswept tanto for piercing applications, currently offered on Collector Series titanium configurations. Finishes span black stonewash, stone tumbled, orange Cerakote, and Armor Black Cerakote, all cryogenically heat-treated and hand-honed before leaving the floor.
Mysto Element Series with Earth, Fire, Water, Wood, and Metal Richlite
The Element Series is a five-knife Scott Bruhns collection mapped to the five natural elements, each with a distinct Richlite handle pattern. Earth uses Browns Point Richlite with a laser-engraved topographic pattern. Fire ships with Redstone Richlite, Water with Blue Canyon, Wood with Maple Valley, and Metal with Black Diamond Richlite. Richlite is a paper-based composite densified with phenolic resin that handles moisture and abrasion better than wood and stays grippy when wet, originally developed for guitar fretboards. Every Element Series Mysto weighs 2.5 ounces and ships with a Bruhns Design element PVC patch.
Hogue Hunting Co-Branded and Collector Series Configurations
The Hogue Hunting co-branded Mysto variants pair Maple Valley or Black Diamond Richlite with the HH Slash logo and orange Cerakote or black stonewash MagnaCut blades for field carry. Above the Richlite tier, the Collector Series uses CNC-milled 6AL-4V titanium handles with a machined swirl texture at 3.5 ounces, available in clip point and Armor Black Cerakote tanto. The carbon fiber configuration drops to 2.4 ounces with a blue tritium thumb stud for low-light identification.
ABLE Lock Crossbar Mechanism and Ambidextrous Carry
The Mysto runs Hogue's ABLE Lock — Ambidextrous Bar Lock Enhanced — with a spring-loaded hardened steel bar that wedges into the blade tang for fully ambidextrous deployment and closing. Dual thumb studs and a reversible deep-carry pocket clip support left-or-right-hand carry. Anodized titanium hardware in red, blue, or bronze accents the thumb studs and backspacers depending on configuration. Every Mysto is made in the USA and backed by Hogue's limited lifetime warranty with free factory sharpening to the original owner.
