Hogue Mysto Collector Series Titanium Tanto in CPM MagnaCut

The Mysto was Hogue's first knife built with titanium, and this Collector Series version pairs a milled 6AL-4V frame with an Armor Black Cerakote upswept tanto in CPM MagnaCut. It is a 3.5 ounce, fully ambidextrous manual folder for everyday carry that looks as good on a desk as it works in a pocket, made in the USA as part of the Hogue Mysto lineup.

Blade

The 3.4 inch upswept tanto is ground from 0.115 inch CPM MagnaCut, cryogenically heat treated to 62 to 64 HRC and hand honed. The upswept line gives this tanto more belly than a traditional chisel tip, so it slices boxes, cord, and food prep as easily as it pierces. MagnaCut is Larrin Thomas's stainless that pairs the toughness of a tool steel with near total rust resistance, and our comparison of every major knife steel shows why it has become the premium carry standard. Armor Black Cerakote adds a low glare, hard wearing finish.

Lock

Hogue's ABLE Lock, short for Ambidextrous Bar Lock Enhanced, is a spring loaded crossbar across the tang that releases the same way from either hand, so closing never puts a finger in the blade path. Red anodized aluminum thumb studs on both sides of the blade open it one handed, riding on phosphor bronze washers.

Handle

Carry
