Jason Clark builds every knife that leaves his Florida shop with his own hands, and you feel it the first time you flip one open. Clark spent two decades in Florida law enforcement, first as a State Trooper and later with the Inspector General's office, before going full time behind the grinder in 2018, and that career shaped a design philosophy where every knife has to work as well as it looks.
Clark is a true sole authorship maker. Design, grinding, heat treating, fitting, and finishing all happen in house, one knife at a time, with no outsourced parts and no shop helpers. His catalog runs on a numbered model system, and most of it centers on the liner lock and frame lock flippers that built his reputation: slim, lightweight folding knives that fire open on detent tuning most production companies would envy and lock up without a hint of play. Blades come in proven steels like CPM 154, CTS XHP, and CPM S35VN, while handles range from milled titanium with Clark's signature machined textures to dress versions wearing Timascus, zirconium, and micarta. Collectors sum his work up as fit, finish, flow, and function, and it is hard to say it better.
Every Jason Clark knife is made in Florida, USA, start to finish. Because one maker builds everything himself, these knives arrive in small numbers and rarely sit long. They join the handmade pieces in our custom shop, where sole authorship work from America's best makers lands throughout the year. If a Clark catches your eye, the honest advice is the same advice we give for every custom maker we carry: do not wait on it.
