KNAFS Lander 2 - Charcoal Micarta - Black Stonewash S35VN Tanto Blade

The popular Lander 2 in shades of black gives it a sweet grayscale look perfect for our first tanto blade shape. Tantos have an impressive, striking look. A pocket knife should be useful, yes, but there's nothing wrong with having something snazzy to show off to friends as well!

This blade is sharp, Amigos, the tool you need for better piercing or high-risk cutting tasks. Tanto blades have a long history, starting in feudal Japan with the Samurai, then moving to the U.S. for some design changes. First glance will show you the straight edge that comes to an upward angle. This gives a stronger, sharper point in that sweet S35VN steel.

Charcoal canvas micarta. Whew. Canvas micarta is a popular handle material because it is a fabric that is incredibly strong, lightweight, wears well, and is durable. It has many applications in industries with no room for errors -- like on the brake systems of airplanes, or in x-ray machines. Micarta can handle high heat and rough elements, and is a scale material that performs well even after it's wet. If you're using your knife in a setting that is going to get messy, micarta gives you a steady grip for the entire task. Then we went and gave it this charcoal color for a black-ops vibe.

While this knife is going dark, this is still the same great Lander 2 that we used to shoot for the moon. The Lander 2 features fast swap, open source scales, a clutch lock, and S35VN steel. We think of the Lander 2 like Apollo 12. You see, Apollo 11 sent the first humans to the moon. But Apollo 12 was the mission that proved Apollo 11 wasn't a fluke or anomaly. NASA did it smoother the second time, proving consistency and repeatability. That's what the Lander 2 is all about: do it again, but better.
