Blade

The 3.875" blade is made from A2 tool steel at 0.125" thick. A2 is prized for its toughness and stability, holding a working edge well while resisting chipping under hard use, making it a solid choice for chopping, carving, and general utility tasks.

Handle

The handle is green canvas Micarta, a material made by compressing layers of canvas fabric with resin under heat and pressure. It's tough, grippy even when wet, and develops a distinct patina with use. Brass pins secure the scales to the full tang. At 6.77oz, the knife carries a comfortable, balanced weight in hand.

Carry

The Dakota ships with a leather sheath for belt carry. As a fixed blade, there is no lock to engage - the tang runs the full length of the handle for strength, and the sheath provides secure retention and quick access.
