The Lishen Dakota is a compact fixed blade designed for everyday carry and utility tasks. It combines AEB-L stainless steel with natural canvas micarta handles, offering a balance of corrosion resistance and grip in a lightweight package. The 3.875" blade is sized for controlled cuts while the overall length keeps it portable for daily use.

Blade

The 3.875" blade uses AEB-L stainless steel at 0.125" thick. AEB-L is a Swedish stainless steel with 0.55% carbon and 14% chromium, offering good edge retention and corrosion resistance. It's a refined version of 12C27 with slightly different properties, often used in high-end kitchen knives and EDC tools. The matte finish helps hide scratches and wear.

Handle

Natural canvas micarta scales are bolted to the full tang with brass pins. Canvas micarta has a coarser texture than linen micarta, providing slightly more aggressive grip. It's tough, lightweight, and develops a beautiful patina with use. The weave pattern is more visible and offers excellent grip when wet. At 6.5oz it's light enough for all-day carry.

Carry

Ships with a leather sheath that can be configured for belt or pack carry. No lock mechanism - this is a fixed blade with a full tang, so the blade and handle are one continuous piece of steel. The sheath holds the knife securely with positive snap retention.
