The Medford Micro Tanto is one of the smallest fixed blade in the Medford Knife & Tool lineup, built in Phoenix, Arizona. It packs a Japanese inspired tanto into a compact frame, so you get a strong, reinforced tip in a knife small enough to carry every day.
The Micro Tanto uses a dual grind, with a separate angled tip section that takes hard piercing and scraping while the main edge handles everyday cutting. That small footprint makes it an easy belt or pack companion and a backup to a larger tactical knife. G-10 scales and a molded Kydex sheath keep it light and low maintenance.
The Pro Series Micro Tanto runs tumbled CPM 20CV on 0.125 inch stock, in black or OD green G-10 with a matching Kydex sheath. 20CV is a high wear resistance stainless steel that holds an edge a long time, and our knife steel guide shows how it compares. The same pattern in 1095 with a leather sheath is the 1881 Knifeworks Micro Tanto. Other 20CV Medford fixed blades include the Mizuchi, UDT-1, and The Deep, and the compact 3V FUK is a step up in size.
