Microtech Stitch
The Microtech Stitch started life as a Marfione custom built with Borka Blades, and the production version keeps everything that made collectors chase the original: a broad, wharncliffe-style blade with the most recognizable silhouette in the Microtech catalog, wrapped in a handle that fills the hand like few folders of its size.
What began as a single side-opening auto has grown into a full family. The Stitch now ships as an automatic, a manual RAM-LOK folder, and a compact Mini, all machined in the USA, so the same design covers everyone from duty carriers to office pockets.
Stitch-A Side-Opening Automatic
The Stitch-A is the original recipe: a push-button automatic that swings a 3.75-inch blade out the side of an 8.5-inch package, carried tip-up. For people who prefer a conventional auto over an OTF, this and the LUDT are where Microtech puts that energy, and between the two, the Stitch is the one that gets noticed. It sits among the burliest side-opening automatic knives in production, with the fit and finish you buy a Microtech for.
Stitch RAM-LOK and Mini Stitch
The RAM-LOK version arrived at SHOT Show 2023 and turned the Stitch into a manual folder built around Microtech's crossbar-style bar lock, with X buttons on both flanks, a titanium backspacer, standard Torx hardware, and a deep finger choil with jimping that locks your grip in. The Mini Stitch RAM-LOK shrinks the same formula into frag-machined aluminum and titanium for lighter carry, and Marfione Select runs push both sizes into carbon fiber, anodized titanium, and Baker Forge Damascus territory. Fidget-friendly does not begin to cover it.
The Stitch Blade and M390MK Steel
Every current Stitch runs Bohler M390MK, the tuned M390 that Bohler produces exclusively for Microtech, in plain, partially serrated, and fully serrated edges across stonewash, apocalyptic, DLC, and Cerakote finishes. The blade's tall grind and curved belly make it a far better slicer than its tactical looks suggest, which is exactly the Borka trick: a knife that photographs like a showpiece and cuts like a tool.
