The Osprey EDC is a collaboration between North Edge Tools and Flying Shark Knives, pairing a premium steel blade with a custom-built handle. This small fixed blade suits collectors and everyday carriers who want a compact, pocketable knife with standout materials.

Blade

The 3" blade is made from MagnaCut steel with a bead blasted finish, finished at .125" thick. MagnaCut is a modern powder steel engineered specifically for knives, offering a rare combination of high edge retention, strong corrosion resistance, and good toughness - it holds an edge longer than most stainless steels while resisting chipping better than typical high-carbide blades. The bead blasted finish gives it a matte, low-glare surface.

Handle

Flying Shark Knives built this handle from a combination of G-10, Corian, and acrylic. G-10 is a fiberglass laminate prized for its durability and grip, Corian is a solid surface composite material known for its smooth finish and color consistency, and acrylic adds a layered, often translucent visual element. Together they create a handle with distinct texture and appearance. Overall length is 6.75" with a 3.75" handle, keeping the knife compact for everyday carry.

Carry

The Osprey ships with a Kydex sheath, a rigid thermoplastic that holds the blade securely with a consistent, low-maintenance fit. A lanyard hole on the handle allows for additional retention or attachment options. As a fixed blade, there is no lock mechanism - the full construction relies on a solid, one-piece build between blade and handle.
