S35VN Button Lock with Aluminum Handles

This Pro-Tech Newport is a limited release tied to Blade Show West, serialized as one of only 50 pieces. It pairs a black aluminum handle with a DLC-coated blade and an abalone button for a distinct look that sets it apart from the standard Newport lineup.

Blade

The 3" drop point blade is made from S35VN stainless steel with a DLC black finish. S35VN is a premium powder metallurgy steel that holds an edge well, resists chipping, and stands up to corrosion better than most stainless options. The DLC coating adds a layer of hardness and scratch resistance on top of that.

Handle

The handle is machined aluminum, finished in black with satin hardware accents. Aluminum keeps the knife light at just 2.1oz while remaining rigid and resistant to wear. The abalone button adds a pearl-like inlay that catches light differently depending on the angle.

Carry

The Newport uses a button lock, which releases the blade with a single press rather than requiring manual thumb pressure on a liner or frame. A DLC black long deep carry clip is set up for right-hand, tip-up carry, keeping the knife seated low in the pocket for a minimal profile.
