MagnaMax Button Lock with Aluminum Handles

The Pro-Tech TR-4 is a limited Blade Show West exclusive, serialized to just 100 pieces. Built for collectors and users who want premium materials in a hard-use folder, this version pairs a DLC black blade with a solid grey aluminum handle and black lip pearl button.

Blade

The 4" drop point blade is made from MagnaMax steel with a DLC black finish and saber grind. MagnaMax is a high-performance steel formulated for excellent edge retention and toughness, outperforming many standard premium steels in field use while resisting chipping. The DLC coating adds extra corrosion and wear resistance along with the blackened look.

Handle

The handle is machined from solid grey aluminum, a lightweight and rigid material that holds up well to daily carry and impact. A black lip pearl button serves as the release, set against black hardware for a clean, monochrome look. At 5.3oz, the knife carries substantial but balanced in hand.

Carry

This TR-4 uses a button lock, releasing the blade with a push of the button rather than a manual pivot. It is not an automatic knife - the blade must be opened by hand. A steel secondary safety switch locks the button to prevent accidental deployment during carry. The wide deep carry clip is set up for right hand, tip up carry, and a glass breaker is built into the pommel for emergency use.
