The Hinderer Ranch is Rick Hinderer's hard use outdoor fixed blade, a 5.25 inch knife on 3/16 inch stock built for camp chores, hunting, and work around the property. This page collects the replacement sheaths and handle scales made for the Ranch, so you can refresh a well used knife or set it up for a different kind of carry. More models live with our Hinderer fixed blade knives.
The Ranch started with a Bowie, followed by a drop point and then the harpoon spanto in late 2019, all at 10.5 inches overall. Production blades run CPM 3V, a very tough tool steel suited to chopping and batoning, while Vintage Series versions use parkerized O1 with walnut handles for a WWII era look. The original sheaths were handmade by local Amish leatherworkers.
The Ranch drop point and harpoon spanto share a sheath pattern, so one fits either blade. The brown leather sheath comes in a left handed version for southpaws, and the Kydex sheath offers a lighter, weatherproof option that won't soak up water on wet hunts. Ranch Bowie sheaths and other Hinderer leather live in our Hinderer beads and accessories.
Replacement Ranch fixed blade scales in green and burgundy canvas Micarta let you change colors or replace a worn handle. Canvas Micarta grips well wet, warms in the hand, and develops character with use, and our guide to knife handle materials explains why it suits a working fixed blade.
Ranch sheaths and scales are made for the Ranch frame, so check the listing against your blade style before you order. Confirm fit with the Hinderer Hardware Finder, and browse the full range of Hinderer parts and accessories for beads, tools, and more.
