The Reate Tribute is a masterfully finished little folder with classic, exquisite lines that appeal to just about any knife buyer: a 2.76-inch blade over bead blasted titanium at 3.2 ounces, dressed with real bolster work. It's the kind of knife Reate's fit and finish reputation was built on, and it's as fun to open as it is to look at.
Reate Tribute Front Flipper
Deployment runs off a front flipper, the mechanism that makes the Tribute one of the most tactile knives in the catalog, with the blade rolling out smooth and effortless from a tab at the front of the handle. Lockup is a titanium liner lock per DLT's own spec sheets, and the milled tip-up clip keeps the carry as clean as the rest of the knife, right-hand configured.
M390 and Damasteel with Zirconium and Mokuti Bolsters
The six builds split by steel and bolster. The working side runs hand satin Bohler M390 under a zirconium bolster, with Fat Carbon inlays in White Storm, Jungle Wear, Dark Matter Copper, and Lava Flow. The dress side steps into acid washed Damasteel under a Mokuti bolster, in White Storm or Jungle Wear, stacking pattern-welded blade steel on patterned bolster material for the full showpiece effect. Every build rides 0.125-inch stock at 6.5 inches overall.
Reate Tribute vs Bushido
Reate's two front flippers are near spec-twins, which makes the fork a clean one. The Reate Bushido runs the same 2.76-inch blade length as a kwaiken-inspired trailing point in M390 at 2.71 ounces, the minimalist worker of the pair, while the Tribute adds half an ounce of bolsters, inlays, and a Damasteel option. Same opening ritual, same liner lock class: pick the Bushido for restraint, the Tribute for the dress build that earns its name.
