Remette operates out of Yangjiang, China—the manufacturing hub responsible for an estimated 60-70% of all knives made in China. Where most Yangjiang manufacturers chase the culinary market or compete on price alone, paired with quality machining, Remette carved out a different path: premium EDC folders built around innovative locking mechanisms and clean execution.
The brand's signature is their button-actuated lock systems. Models like the RT-Cosmic run a button liner lock, while the RT-Steed and RT-Cool Leopard deploy button-actuated frame locks. The integration provides one-handed disengagement while maintaining solid lockup under load. Every folder in the lineup rides on caged ceramic ball bearings for smooth, drop-shut action.
Across the board, you're looking at M390 blades heat-treated to 59-61 HRC—great steel for the price point. Blade finishes include hand-ground pearlescent effects, DLC coatings, and stonewashed titanium. Handle options range from ceramic-sandblasted titanium to anodized finishes, with carbon fiber inlays on models like the RT-Steed and RT-Meteor.
The lineup scales from the compact RT-Cosmic with its 2.76" blade up to the RT-Cool Leopard's 3.54" blade and 5.6mm blade stock—built for harder use. Hidden screw assemblies keep lines clean without sacrificing serviceability.
