How the Eklipse Differs From the XM-18
Where the XM-18 reads as an angular, all-business work knife, the Eklipse softens the handle geometry for comfort across a wider range of grips and hand sizes. A flipper tab guard and 3D textured G-10 scales channel moisture away from the skin for a secure hold in adverse conditions, while the quarter inch diameter thumb stud stop pins and in-house 17-4PH pivot add strength at the wear points. The integral 6AL4V titanium framelock with Hinderer Lockbar Stabilizer delivers the lockup the brand built its name on.

The Eklipse comes in 3 inch and 3.5 inch sizes across blade shapes including slicer, bowie, harpoon spanto, tanto, and spearpoint, in both manual flipper and side open automatic configurations. Blade steels span CPM MagnaCut, CPM S45VN, and CPM 20CV, giving buyers a choice from the current corrosion resistant benchmark to proven, tough options. Open back construction keeps maintenance simple, and every knife is machined in the USA.
