Hinderer MP-1

The Hinderer MP-1, short for Modular Platform 1, is a departure from the XM series that keeps the same hard-use, overbuilt construction in a stockier, more sculpted package. It debuted at the 2016 Tactical Knives Invitational and remains one of the most detailed folders in the lineup, with a modified sheepsfoot blade that reads friendlier and more workmanlike than the angular XM profile.

MP-1 Modular Backspacer System and Build

The knife's signature feature is the HMBS, the Hinderer Modular Backspacer System, a removable backspacer that swaps out without disassembling the knife, so you can change the look or setup in seconds. The 3.25 inch drop point runs CPM S35VN at .165 inch thick, seated in a full 6AL4V titanium framelock with the Hinderer Lockbar Stabilizer, a stout 17-4 PH stainless pivot, and a choice of all titanium or G-10 over titanium handle scales. Every MP-1 is machined in the USA.
