Ripp's Garage Tech is a Midwest CNC machining shop specializing in aftermarket knife scales, titanium pocket clips, and EDC accessories. RGT produces precision replacement scales for Spyderco, Benchmade, Chris Reeve Knives, Demko, and other popular folding knife brands.

Scales for Spyderco and Benchmade Knives

RGT manufactures custom micarta scales in canvas, linen, burlap, and coarse canvas. Micarta scales arrive dry and develop a unique patina through use and hand oils. Options include canvas micarta in multiple colors, linen micarta for smooth texture, and burlap micarta for aggressive grip. Popular fitments include Spyderco Paramilitary 2, Para 3, Shaman, Smock, Kapara, Benchmade Bugout, and other production folders.

Tero Tuf Composite Material Scales

Tero Tuf scales combine polyester resin and fabric for hard-use EDC applications. The material provides shock absorption exceeding G10 and carbon fiber, maintains positive traction when wet, and resists temperatures up to 200F. Tero Tuf insulates against electrical currents and accepts food-safe oils for darkening. RGT machines Tero Tuf scales for Spyderco PM2, Para 3, Shaman, Smock, and Native 5 models, along with Benchmade Bugout and Demko AD20.5 knives.

Titanium Scales and Hardware

RGT produces titanium replacement scales machined from 6AL-4V titanium with stonewashed, blasted, DLC, and darkwash finishes. Titanium scales feature "featherweight" construction with milled-out backs for weight reduction. Scale sets include matching titanium backspacers for Spyderco compression lock models and Chris Reeve framelock knives. RGT also manufactures titanium hardware kits including pivot screws, body screws, and clip screws for various models.

Fat Carbon Scales and 3D-Machined Titanium Clips

Fat carbon scales combine carbon fiber with resin in patterns like Jungle Wear and Arctic Storm. RGT machines 3D titanium pocket clips compatible with Spyderco's universal 3-hole pattern and models like the Paramilitary 2 and Para 3. Clips feature stonewashed, blasted, DLC, and dark fluted finishes. RGT also produces replacement clips for Chris Reeve Knives in titanium and timascus finishes.
