Rocco Handmade produces Scagel-inspired fixed blade hunting knives handcrafted by Brian Nawrocki in eastern Michigan. Operating since 2018, Nawrocki forges hunting knives from 1095 carbon steel with natural handle materials including India sambar stag, stabilized wood, and canvas micarta. Each Rocco Handmade knife features brass guards, fiber and aluminum spacers, and hand-stitched leather sheaths. Nawrocki apprenticed under Jim Behring at Treeman Knives and Leather Shop, where he continues to work while building Rocco Handmade. Knife designs include nessmuk skinners, capers, and Michigan hunters with forged blades and intentional geometry for field dressing and hunting tasks.
