1095 Fixed Blade with Canvas Micarta Handle

The Whitetail Hunter is Rocco Handmade's take on the classic American hunting knife. Designed for field dressing and butchering game, this fixed blade combines traditional styling with modern materials for a knife that's equally at home in the woods or on the wall as a display piece.

The 4.5" blade uses 1095 high-carbon steel at 0.141" thick. 1095 is a simple carbon steel favored in hard-use knives because it is tough, easy to sharpen in the field, and throws sparks off a ferro rod. The straight edge profile makes it excellent for skinning and caping tasks. The OD Green Canvas Micarta handle offers a rugged appearance and excellent grip that improves when wet. Canvas Micarta is made with canvas fabric compressed with phenolic resin, creating a tough, lightweight material with a coarse texture that provides slightly more aggressive grip than linen Micarta.

The knife weighs 6.14oz and ships with a leather sheath. At 9.25" overall length, it's compact enough for field carry but has enough blade length for serious work. The leather sheath provides traditional styling and good protection for the blade.
