5160 Fixed Blade with Micarta Handles

The Little Ronin is a scaled-down version of Shade Indonesia's larger 17-inch Ronin, built for those who want the same hard-use character in a more manageable size. At 9 inches of blade, it splits the difference between a large camp knife and a short sword, suited for chopping, clearing brush, or general field work.

Blade

The 9" blade is hand forged from 5160 steel with a Darkwash Brute de Forge finish, leaving the hammer-forged texture visible along the flats. 5160 is a spring steel prized in hard-use blades for its high toughness and resistance to chipping or snapping under stress, making it well suited to chopping tasks. At 0.250" thick, this blade carries enough mass to deliver real chopping power.

Handle

The handle is Micarta, a composite made from linen or canvas layers set in resin, known for staying grippy even when wet or covered in grease. Handle length runs 6.75", built over a full tang for maximum strength through the entire knife. Overall weight comes in at 24.8oz.

Carry

As a full-tang fixed blade, the blade and handle are one solid piece of steel. The knife ships with a leather sheath for belt carry.
