5160 Fixed Blade with Micarta Handles

The Little Ronin is a scaled-down version of Shade Indonesia's full-size 17-inch Ronin, built for users who want that same presence and cutting power in a more manageable package. At 15.75 inches overall, it works well for camp chores, chopping, and general outdoor use where a full-size sword-length blade would be impractical.

Blade

The 9-inch blade is hand forged from 5160 steel, a spring steel known for its toughness and resistance to chipping under hard impact - a common choice for chopping blades that need to survive repeated stress. At 0.250" thick, it has substantial mass behind the edge. The Darkwash Brute de Forge finish leaves the hammer-forged texture visible on the blade face, a nod to traditional forging methods rather than a fully ground and polished surface.

Handle

The handle is made from Micarta, a composite of linen or canvas fabric layered with resin under pressure. It's dense, stable, and grips well even when wet or covered in grease. The handle measures 6.75 inches with a full tang running through it, and the knife weighs 24.8 ounces total, giving it forward momentum for chopping tasks.

Carry

The Little Ronin ships with a leather sheath for belt carry. As a fixed blade with full tang construction, the blade and handle are one solid piece, ready to draw and use.
