The Shade Indonesia Ronin is a large katana-inspired fixed blade built for those who train with heavy cutting tools and want a blade that can take repeated hard use. With a 30-inch overall length, this is a serious two-hand piece suited to experienced collectors and practitioners rather than everyday carry.

Blade

The 17-inch blade is hand forged from 5160 steel at 0.250" thick, finished in a Darkwash Brute de Forge that leaves the hammer-forged texture visible along the surface. 5160 is a spring steel prized for toughness and shock resistance, making it a strong choice for heavy cutting and batoning work where the blade needs to absorb repeated impact without chipping.

Handle

The 13-inch handle is wrapped in Micarta, a resin-impregnated linen or canvas laminate known for its durability and secure grip even when wet. At 1" thick and paired with a full tang running the length of the handle, this construction adds strength and balance to a knife that weighs in at 43.75oz.

Carry

The Ronin ships with a leather sheath sized for its extended blade length.
